Escape Reality - Central Coast (Tuggerah, Australia)

This was the second of our four rooms at Escape Reality on the Central Coast. It's their third highest-rated room but regarded as their most difficult one according to the GM and their website. So how was it?

This was a good room, better in just about every respect compared to the first room we did, The Iron Kingdom.
This one also had multiple spaces to traverse, but the set design and atmosphere were definitely an upgrade. Part of it was because theming is easier for an Egyptian tomb room in contrast to a medieval one, but part of it was also more detail and production value. Whether we were inside or outside the tomb, this game had floor-to-ceiling immersion and high-quality props.
The puzzles were quite good and flowed well, and generally made sense in the space. If I recall correctly, all the padlocks were in the base camp outside the tomb, but once we were inside, every puzzle had tech behind it.
There were a few tricky puzzles that were genuinely tricky this time, not because we overestimated the difficulty. However, there was one puzzle that was almost identical to one we just saw in The Iron Kingdom, which felt a little lazy considering they only had four rooms.
Even though the difficulty was supposedly higher, we breezed through this one with around half the time remaining. Maybe it was because we were more used to the puzzle style, or maybe it was simply because the puzzles made more sense and flowed better.
We definitely had more fun in this one. In my opinion, this was the second best room we played at Escape Reality - Central Coast.
